Getting started

LeanTrack is plain PHP with MySQL or MariaDB — no framework, no Composer, no build step. Upload it, point your domain at it and open it in the browser.

Download the code from the Repo page — as a zip file or with git clone. No account or access request needed.

Requirements

Installing

  1. Upload all files to your server.
  2. Point the (sub)domain's document root at the public/ folder. Everything else — code, configuration, uploaded files — then stays out of reach of the web.
Can't change the document root? Then the .htaccess in the main folder routes everything into public/ for you (Apache only).
  3. Make sure PHP can write to config/ and to the folders in storage/.
  4. Create an empty database, open LeanTrack in your browser and fill in the database details.
  5. Log in as admin with password admin. You'll have to choose a new password straight away.

The installer locks itself once config/config.php exists.

First steps

As the admin, open Settings to check the ticket key prefixes (it starts with WEB, CUS, CORE and APPL) and the upload limit. Then create a project, add your team under Users and tick which projects each of them can see. The Info page explains how it all fits together.

Upload size

PHP decides the largest upload it accepts (upload_max_filesize and post_max_size). LeanTrack's own limit is set in Settings (default 100 MB) and can't go above PHP's; Settings shows PHP's limit. public/.user.ini raises PHP's limits to 256 MB on hosts that run PHP as FastCGI/FPM.

Updating

Upload the new files over the old ones, but keep config/config.php and the storage/ folder. Database changes are applied automatically on the next page load.
